Want it, believe it, achieve it
Many people ask me "What is Nordic Walking" and my answer is: It's a non-impact full body work out. It's walking but you have a 4-wheel drive. It's waking but smarter. It's incredibly popular in Northern Europe, in Finland over quarter of the population actively participate in this sport.
So what what makes it so good compared to ordinary walking? Oxygen uptake, heart rate and energy expenditure are about 20% higherAll muscle groups are working Improves posture and stride lengthImproves muscle endurance and tone in armsReduces impact on knees particularly when going downhill Reduces stifness in the shoulder area, particularly effective for people with desk jobsFeels easier than equal effort without the poles
The effectiveness of Nordic Walking is depends on the correct technique and I will make sure you are using the poles properly. Once the correct technique has been acquired, the sessions can be made more challenging by choosing more demanding terrain and increasing speed.
Nordic walking is suitable for vast range of fitness levels and because of minimal strain on joints, it is an excellent choice of cardiovascular exercise for anyone who:is overweightis pregnanthas joint problemshas back problems
Nordic Walking is also a training method used by many athletes, so it really is a sport for everyone. Would you like to have a go?
